Erika S. Trapl, PhD named Director, Prevention Research Center for Healthy Neighborhoods effective Feb. 1, 2020

Erika Trapl, PhD named Director of the Prevention Research Center for Healthy Neighborhoods effective February 1, 2020, succeeding Founding Director, Elaine A. Borawski, PhD, whose vision led the Center in addressing chronic health issues faced in disadvantaged Greater Cleveland neighborhoods for more than 10 years. Dr. Trapl is an associate professor in the Department of Population & Quantitative Health Sciences and Co-Leader of the Case CCC’s Cancer Prevention, Control & Population Research Program. Congratulations to Dr. Trapl! We look forward to her leadership in championing the PRCHN’s mission of fostering partnerships within low-resource neighborhoods to develop, test, and implement effective and sustainable strategies and interventions to prevent and reduce the burden of chronic disease.
